A Blog Named Hero November Challenge – Glitz
Hello there! Welcome to my blog. We have a new challenge on A Blog Named Hero, and the theme for this month’s challenge is to add some glitz. To enter the challenge, post your card to Instagram using the hashtag #abnhnovemberchallenge by 5 pm ET on the 26th of the month for your chance to win one of the two gift vouchers from our fabulous sponsor, Hero Arts.
First, I die cut a piece of white cardstock using the two largest dies from the Starry Clouds Die Set. Then I inked the first die cut panel using Azurite and Jet Black Crisp Dye Inks along with a blending brush. Next, I inked the second panel using the Starlight and Tide Blue Crisp Dye Inks. After that, I splattered White Liquid watercolour and White Iridescent Shimmer Spray on both panels using a round brush.
While these panels were drying, I stamped the flower from the Protea Flowers Stamp Set on an A2 cardstock using Intens-ified Black Ink. Next, I die cut a circle for the moon using the Nesting Circle Die Set. I then masked the moon and flower on the card panel. After that, I inked the sky using Tide Blue Crisp Dye Ink along with a blending brush. Then I used an embossing powder bag to remove any static and stamped the stars from the Dreams are Made Stamp Set using embossing ink, sprinkled Silver Sparkle Embossing Powder on it, dusted off the excess, and heat set it. I then splattered White Liquid watercolour on this panel.
Next, I unmasked the images and coloured the flower using the below Copic Markers:
Flower – R89, R39, R29, R24, R21
Leaves and stem – YG67, YG63, YG23, YG13, YG01
To add more sparkle to the card, I used the Sparkle Clear Lacquer Pen and an old brush and applied it on the image. Then I stamped the sentiment from the Zen Messages Stamp Set using Intens-ified Black Ink.
I then die cut the tiny stars from glitter cardstock using the Starry Clouds Die Set. Next, I stuck the die cut pieces and sequins on the card panels.
Lastly, I assembled the card and stuck it on an A2 card base.
Thank you for visiting my blog. I hope you join the challenge for a chance to win a Hero Arts gift card! Have an amazing day.
