AAA Cards Challenge #202 – Sketch
Hello and welcome to my blog, my crafty friends. We have a new challenge at the AAA Cards Blog, and the theme for challenge #202 is Sketch + Optional Twist Gnomes.
Fran is the Guest Designer for this challenge. You can click here to visit her blog and see her fabulous card.
First, I stamped the flower from the Craft Your Life Project Kit: Garden Rose Stamp Set on an A2 watercolour cardstock using Obsidian Pigment Ink. Next, I stamped the image on a masking sheet, fussy cut it and stuck it on the card panel. I then smooshed Tide Blue Crisp Dye Ink on a sheet of Acetate, sprinkled water on it and stamped it on the card. I repeated this process with Pinkalicious and Hydrangea Crisp Dye Inks.
Once the panel was dry, I lightly ink blended the portion behind the flower using Tide Blue, Pinkalicious and Hydrangea Crisp Dye Inks along with my ink blending brushes. To get the dark spots on the panel, I smooshed Azurite, Razzleberry and Ultramarine Crisp Dye Inks one at a time on a sheet of Acetate and stamped it on the card front.
After that, I used a steel ruler and a Copic Multiliner pen to draw the lines on the card front. I then unmasked the flower and stamped the rest of the layers using the below Crisp Dye Inks:
1st Layer – Silver Stone
2nd Layer – Pure Graphite
Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from the Sentiment Strips Stamp Set using Obsidian Pigment Ink and stuck the card front on an A2 card base.
I have listed the products used below. Thank you so much for joining me today. Be sure to visit this month’s challenge post for more inspiration from the design team. Have a beautiful day.
