Beautiful Details
Welcome to my blog, my crafty friends! Today I would like to share a card I made for the Beautiful Details Course by Altenew Academy.
Marika Rahtu shares amazing tips in this course on how to add a personal touch to your cards and take your projects to the next level.
I used the picture from the October Challenge as inspiration for my card.
I started by stamping the dotted leaves from the Dot Art Stamp Set on an A2 cardstock using Honey Drizzle Crisp Ink. Then I stamped the three circles from the Trendy Circles and Dot Art Stamp Set using Almond Butter, Snapdragon, Fresh Lemon and Honey Drizzle Crisp Inks. Next, I stamped the outline of the leaves from Beautiful Day Stamp Set on either side of the card panel using Almond Butter and Firefly Crisp Inks. I then stamped the smaller circles from the Dot Art, and Layered Cupcake Stamp Sets randomly on the card panel using Almond Butter, Lime, Snapdragon and Honey Drizzle Crisp Inks.
After that, I stamped the flower from the Grateful Heart Stamp Set using Orange Cream Crisp ink and coloured the leaves and the flower with my Copic Markers.
Below are the colours I used:
Flower (petals) – YR09, YR07, YR16, Y35; Polychromos – 111, 117, 219, 225, White Prismacolor Pencil
Flower (centre) Polychromos – 272, 274, 175
Brown Leaves – E51, E31; Polychromos – 182, 283, 280, 177
Green Leaves – YG11, YG13; Polychromos – 170, 173, 278
Then I fussy cut the flower with my cutter bee scissors. Next, I trimmed the edges of the cardstock by 1/4 inches and inked two card strips using Copic Markers E39 and E47. I then stuck these strips on either side of the card panel.
Next, I stamped the sentiment from the Best Sentiment Stamp Set using Versafine Vintage Sepia ink. After cutting this strip with my trimmer, I went over the edges with the ink pad to give it some dimension.
I then stuck the sentiment using art glitter glue on the card front and the flower using foam tape to add dimension. Lastly, I stuck this card panel on an A2 card base.
I have listed the products used below. Thank you for visiting my Blog.
