You are such a blessing
Hello and welcome back to my blog! Today I would like to share a card I made for the Embossing Challenge at A Blog Named Hero.
I started by placing the koi fish, and lotus leaf stamps from the Color Layering Koi Stamp Set on my Misti and stamped them on a piece of Neenah Solar white 80lb cardstock using the below colours:
Koi Fish 1
1st Layer – Fresh Lemon
2nd Layer – Orange Cream
3rd Layer – Heart Beat
4th Layer – Obsidian Pigment Ink
Koi Fish 2
1st Layer – Limestone
2nd Layer – Silver Stone
3rd Layer – Industrial Diamond
4th Layer – Obsidian Pigment Ink
Lotus Leaf
1st Layer – Sweet Leaf and Just Green around the edges
2nd Layer – Just Green
Then I fussy cut these images with my cutter bee scissors.
To create the background, I lightly inked an A2 Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock using Turquoise Crisp ink along with a blender brush. Then I placed the Spiral Stencil on it and ran it through my Platinum machine to emboss the card panel.
After that, I left the stencil on the cardstock and used Turquoise, Starlight and Azurite Crisp Inks to ink the embossed portion on the card panel. Then I smooshed Starlight and Azurite Crisp Inks on my media mat, sprayed water on them, and then splattered the ink on the card panel. I also splattered White Liquid Watercolor and Jet Black Ink on the background to add more dimension.
While the background was drying, I prepped a piece of black cardstock using embossing bag to remove any static. Then I stamped the sentiment from the Peonies Stamp Set using VersaMark ink, sprinkled white detail embossing powder on it, dusted off the excess and heat set it with my heat gun.
As the last step, I assembled the card and stuck this panel on an A2 card base.
I am linking this card to the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge – Use Your Favorite Tool and the Stay Crafty with Hero Challenge.
