Sending Sunshine Your Way
Today I would like to share a card I made using the Hibiscus Motif Complete Bundle by Altenew.
First, I stamped the flower and leaves from the Hibiscus Motif Stamp Set on a white A2 cardstock using Obsidian Pigment Ink. Next, I inked the image using the coordinating stencil and the below Crisp Dye Inks:
Flower – Citrus Burst, Orange Cream, Firebrick
Leaves and stem – Sweet Leaf, Just Green, Hunter Green
Then I stamped the images on a masking sheet, fussy cut them using the Tim Holtz scissors and stuck them on the images. I then inked the lower portion of the card panel using Bamboo, Olive, Moss and Green Opal Crisp Dye Inks.
Next, I smooshed the Green Opal Crisp Dye Ink pad on my media mat, sprayed water on it and splattered it on the cardstock using my size 4 fine watercolour brush.
I then placed the Cloud Scene Stencil on the card panel and inked the clouds using Tide Blue and Starlight Crisp Dye Inks along with my ink blending brushes.
After that, I stamped the sentiment from the Bold Sentiments Stamp Set using Obsidian Pigment Ink. Next, I trimmed it to a thin strip using my Tim Holtz Trimmer. I then stuck the sentiment on the card front and stuck the panel on an A2 card base using art glitter glue.
Thank you for visiting my blog. Stay tuned for more cardmaking tips and tricks in my next blog post.
Until then, live creatively and spread the joy of handmade art. โค๏ธ
