I’m Dreaming of Spending Time with You
Hey there! Welcome back! I made this card for the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge and the theme for this week is Christmas.
First, I cut a piece of Neenah Solar white 110lb cardstock using the largest die from the Peek A Frame Die set. Next, I used the Christmas Tree Window Die set by My Favorite Things to cut the window on the top portion of this panel. After that, I masked the top part of the cardstock using a masking sheet and coloured the lower part using Tumbled Glass Distress Ink along with a mini ink blending tool. Then placed the sentiment on my Tim Holtz Stamp Platform and stamped it using VersaFine Onyx Black Ink.
I applied Mercury Glass Distress Stickles on the stars, and Christmas Red Distress Stickles on the Baubles and let it dry. I wanted to create an alcohol ink background behind this window, so I cut a piece of Vellum and used Patina, Bottle and Pistachio Alcohol inks by Ranger to colour it. When the alcohol ink was slightly dry, I placed the Green foil sheet by Ranger over it to add texture.
Next, I stamped the two polar bears from the Unbearably Cute Stamp set by My Favorite Things on watercolour cardstock using VersaFine Onyx Black Ink. After that, I fussy cut them using my cutter bee scissors and coloured them using Zig Markers.
Then I assembled my card. First, I stuck the vellum panel behind the Christmas Tree window using art glitter glue. Next, I stuck the bears on either side of the tree. I then stuck this card panel on a white A2 card base.
After that, I die cut the star using the Christmas Tree Window Die from the Gold Glitter Paper by Concord and 9th. As a final step, I stuck the die cut star on the card.
I have listed the products used below. Thank you for visiting my Blog.
