Christmas Craft Creations August Theme – Animals
Hey there! Welcome to my blog. I have some exciting news to share. Those of you who know me know my love for Christmas. Christmas season is my most favourite time of the year, but who am I kidding, I wish I could celebrate Christmas every day because of all the excitement and happiness it brings. In fact, I listen to Christmas carols all year round as they make me feel very happy, I bet you agree with me.😊 So when I read of the design team call for the Christmas Craft Creations Challenge Blog, I immediately applied for it. And *drumrolls please* I am now a part of this amazing challenge team and I can’t contain my excitement!😍
This is my first post as a part of the team, and I am so honoured to work alongside all the amazing and talented card makers. Please do check their blog to see their gorgeous projects and I assure you, you will fall in love.
The theme for the August Challenge is Animals, and I would love to see your projects on the Christmas Craft Creations Challenge Blog.
Loll is our Guest Designer for this challenge, and you can see her amazing card on her blog.
I started by stamping the images from the Sweet Holiday Penguins Stamp Set on an A2 Neenah Solar white 80lb cardstock using Memento Black Ink. Then I coloured them with my Copic Markers.
Below are the colours I used:
Penguins – C9, C7, C5, YR04, Y38, Y15
Santa Hat – R59, R29, R24, N1, N0, 0
Gift box – E99, YR24, Y08, Y02, G17, G14, YG13
Peppermint candy cane – R59, R27, R24, R22, R20, N5, N3, N1, 0
After that, I stamped the images on Eclipse Masking sheet, fussy cut them with my cutter bee scissors and masked the images on the card panel. Then I used Memo Tape by Heffy Doodle to mask the ground. I then inked the sky using Peacock Feathers, Blueprint Sketch and Salty Ocean Distress Inks along with blender brushes by Taylored Expressions. Next, I splattered white liquid watercolor to create the stars. After unmasking the images and the ground, I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Obsidian Pigment Ink. Lastly, I stuck this card panel on an A2 card base using art glitter glue.
I have listed the products used below. Thank you for visiting my Blog.
