Altenew Modern & Edgy Stamps/Dies/Stencils/Embossing Folders Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway
Hello there, and welcome back to my blog! It’s time for the August release and I am thrilled to join Altenew for the Modern & Edgy Stamps/Dies/Stencils/Embossing Folders Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway. You should be arriving here from the talented Nenette’s blog, but if not, you can go back to the start, at the Altenew Card Blog and go from there.
Project 1
First, I stamped the outline of the flowers and leaves from the Fresh Bloom Stamp Set on a sheet of white cardstock using Obsidian Pigment Ink. I used the Glacier Caves and Summer Afternoon Mixed Media Inks for the rest of the layers.
Then I used the coordinating dies to die cut all the images. After that, I coloured the small flower branches using my Altenew Artist Markers.
To create the background, I stuck the Marsh Land Wide Washi Tape on an A2 card base. I then place the Diamond Frame Cover Die on a sheet of white cardstock and ran it through the die cutting machine. Next, I stuck this die cut frame on the A2 washi tape card panel.
After that, I stamped the sentiment from the Linear Life Daydreams Stamp Set on a strip of white cardstock using Paper Bag Pigment Ink. I then dragged the same ink pad along the edges to ink them. As the last step, I assembled the card panel using precision glue.
Supplies:
Project 2
For this card, I started by stamping the outline layers of the flowers and leaves from the Fresh Bloom Stamp Set on white cardstock using Obsidian Pigment Ink and for the rest of the layers, I used Crisp Dye Inks.
I then tore a piece of Jet Black cardstock and stuck it on an A2 card base. Next, I die cut the diamonds from gold mirror cardstock using Fine Frames Diamonds Die Set and stuck it on the card front.
After that, I stamped the sentiment from the Inky Lily Stamp Set using Obsidian Pigment Ink and stuck the images on the card panel.
Supplies:
Project 3
First, I stamped the flowers and leaves from the Fresh Bloom Stamp Set on white cardstock using Obsidian Pigment Ink and then used Crisp Dye inks to stamp the rest of the layers.
Next, I inked an A2 watercolour cardstock using Summer Afternoon Mixed Media Inks. I directly inked the watercolour panel with the ink pad starting with the lightest on top and darkest at the bottom. I then ran a brayer over it to blend the inks. Once the panel was dry, I placed it in the Crystal Wall Embossing Folder and ran it through the die cutting machine. Then I used white pigment ink to ink the raised portions of the cardstock
I then die cut the frame from Jet black cardstock using the Diamond Frame Cover Die. Next, I used the Leaf Frame Cover Die to die cut leaves from the Gilded Glitter Cardstock. After that, I embossed the sentiment from the Never Give Up Stamp Set using white embossing powder. As the last step, I assembled the card using precision glue and stuck the black enamel dots from the Essential Black & White Enamel Dots set.
Supplies:
Project 4
For this card, I inked the raised flower side of the Spoon Daisy 3D Embossing Folder using Embossing Ink, placed an A2 Jet Black cardstock on it and ran it through the die cutting machine. I then sprinkled antique gold embossing powder on it, dusted off the excess, and heat set it with my heat gun.
Note: This process creates a debossed image of the flower.
Next, I embossed the sentiment from the Fancy Greetings Stamp Set using antique gold embossing powder and stuck this card panel on an A2 card base.
Supplies:
Project 5
Since I wanted to partially emboss the cardstock, I placed the Spoon Daisy 3D Embossing Folder on the edge of an A2 red cardstock, I then ran it through my die cutting machine. Next, I placed the folder on the other side and ran it through the machine.
Note: While embossing the second side, ensure that the folder and the cutting plates don’t overlap the other embossed edge.
After that, I inked the edges using Jet black Ink and an ink blending tool. Next, I coloured the flowers with white pigment ink and a detailed blending brush. I then used my white pastel pencil to add the highlights. For the centre of the flowers, I used Sakura white gelly roll pen.
Next, I embossed the sentiment from the Be Kind Stamp Set using white embossing powder. Lastly, I stuck the white enamel dots from the Essential Black & White Enamel Dots Set.
Supplies:
Project 6
For this card, I inked the “embossing” side of Spoon Daisy 3D Embossing Folder using Embossing ink, placed an A2 Navy cardstock in it and ran it through the die cutting machine. Then I sprinkled Golden Peach Embossing Powder on it and heat set it.
Next, I embossed the sentiment from the Remember This Stamp Set on a strip of vellum using the same embossing powder. I cut a strip of Navy cardstock to mat the vellum and stuck the sentiment strip on the card front.
