Altenew Certified Educators Instagram Hop – Text Savvy

Today I would like to share a card I made for the Altenew Certified Educators Instagram Hop. The theme for this hop is Text Savvy, and Altenew is giving away a $20 gift certificate to 5 lucky winners. If you want to join the Hop, please click here.

First, I stamped the images from the Craft Your Life Project Kit: Hello Beautiful Stamp Set on two A2 cardstocks using Obsidian Pigment Ink. Next, I inked the first cardstock using the Simple Coloring Stencil Set and Limestone, Silver Stone, Industrial Diamond, Pure Graphite and Jet Black Crisp Dye Inks along with my mini blending brushes. Then, I inked the edges using Jet Black Ink and a blending brush. After that, I splattered Jet Black ink on the card panel using a round brush.

Next, I inked the coloured panel using Heart Beat, Vineyard Berry, Firefly, Just Green and Hunter Green Crisp Dye Inks. Then I placed the Hang In There Die on it and ran it through the die cutting machine. I also die cut the sentiment out of black cardstock and white cardstock. To assemble the sentiment, I stuck the white die cut sentiment behind the coloured die cut, slightly offsetting it to create a highlight and then offset the black die cut sentiment to the coloured die cut piece to create a shadow.

Lastly, I assembled the card front and stuck the panel on an A2 card base.
