You’re Totally Awesome!
It’s time to kick off a new Creative Challenge at Craftin Desert Divas. This week our Design Team will be sharing heat and dry embossing techniques. In my today’s card, I have only used the heat embossing technique.
First, I printed the Garden of Roses and the Elegant Rose Digital Stamps on a watercolour cardstock. Next, I fussy cut these images and used my Zig markers to colour them using the no line watercolour technique.
After that, I die cut a piece of cardstock using the largest die from the Fancy Frame die set. I repeated this step and then stuck the two die cut pieces together. Next, I die cut the sentiment “Totally Awesome” from the Greeting Word Dies twice and then overlapped the die cuts. After this, I prepped the cardstock with my Ranger Anti-Static Pouch to remove any static. I masked a part of the sentiment from the Simply Said Stamp Set, as the entire sentiment was “You’re Invited” and I only wanted the first half. Next, I used VersaMark ink to stamp this sentiment and then sprinkled Nuvo Gold Embossing powder on it, dusted off the excess and heat set it.
To emboss the frame and the die cut sentiment, I applied VersaMark ink over them. Then, I sprinkled them with Nuvo Gold Embossing powder, dusted the excess off and heat set them. I repeated this process two more times to give these die cuts a metallic finish.
Next, I stuck the frame on an A2 top folding card base. I then stuck the Garden of Roses image on it. I used a foam tape while sticking the Elegant Rose image so that the image would pop up and it would give more dimension to the card. Finally, I stuck the die cut sentiment on the card.
