Altenew Celebrating Parents Card Drive Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hey everyone, welcome back to my blog! I’m so thrilled to join Altenew for the Celebrating Parents Card Drive and Blog Hop. Mother’s Day and Father’s Day are approaching and this can be a difficult time for seniors who are in nursing homes or shelters. We want these important people to feel loved, celebrated, and honored, so we have organized the Celebrating Parents Card Drive. (Visit the link for more details.)

Giving Back
We have chosen a few Altenew products that are great for your Mother’s Day and Father’s Day cards (and other year-round projects)!

Altenew will donate $1 with every order of the above stamp sets from 3/6/2021 until 5/31/2021 to the Food Bank of Central New York to support seniors in need.

For my card, I used the Sunflower Daisy Stamp Set. I started by stamping multiple images of the flowers and leaves using Crisp Dye Inks. Below are the colours I used:
Flowers:
1st LayerFresh Lemon
2nd LayerOrange Cream
3rd LayerVineyard Berry
4th LayerJet Black
5th Layer (Center)Frayed Leaf
6th Layer (Center)Moss
7th Layer (Center)Evergreen
Leaves:
1st Layer
Frayed Leaf
2nd LayerMoss
3rd LayerEvergreen

To create the background, I coloured an A2 watercolour cardstock using Limeade, Emerald and Lagoon Watercolor Brush Markers. I then splattered these colours on the panel. After that, I stamped the sentiment from the Best Mom Stamp Set on the card front using Obsidian Pigment Ink.

Next, I place the Linear Crossroads Die on Jet Black cardstock and ran it through my die cutting machine. I repeated this process a few times.  Lastly, I assembled the card using my precision glue pen and stuck this panel on an A2 card base.
