Since I moved to Hong Kong, I have witnessed another form of a โtea partyโ. People here love to meet their friends and families and eat dim sums. They say, letโs go yum cha (้ฃฒ่ถ), the literal translation of which in English is โdrink teaโ. It refers to the act of drinking Chinese tea and eating dim sums together. There are so many different snacks served at these dim sum restaurants, and all of them are exceptionally good. To give you an idea of this party, I have posted a picture below that I had clicked when my friends and I had gone out for a sumptuous dim sum lunch.
I know you are probably craving for dim sums now, donโt you agree they look so delicious? I absolutely love dim sums, and I couldnโt think of a better way to celebrate AAA Challenge Blogโs birthday than having a dim sum party! And so, that is the theme of my card.
Whenever any scene, like this one, has a lot of images, I start by trying out different combinations by stamping the images on a piece of printer paper. Once I am happy with the placement of the images, I stamp them on a sheet of masking paper and fussy cut them. After that, I stamp the images in the foreground first, mask them and then stamp the images in the background.
The images I have used in this card are from the Dim Sum Fun Stamp Set by Mama Elephant, and I stamped them on an A2 cardstock using Memento Black ink. I then unmasked the images and used my Copic Markers to colour them.
Below are the colours I used:
Dim Sums – E00, E0000, 0, N2, YR09, YR04, Y17, Y15, Y08, Y02, Y0000
Bamboo Baskets – E18, E17, E15, E13, E11, E000
Teapot – N5, N3, N2, N0, 0, R27
Teacups and plate – N5, N3, N2, N0, 0, E37, E35, E31
Chopsticks – E37, E35, E31
Shadow – C2, C00, 0
Next, I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Obsidian Pigment Ink. As the final step, I stuck this panel on an A2 card base.
I have listed the products used below. Thank you for visiting my Blog.
